A new series of prototyping 3U eurocards - single height,
single and double sided - have been developed to enable
the introduction of the Roadrunner Wiring Technique
to Surface Mount Technology (SMT).
The circuit boards have been designed as experimental
development boards, to combine the assembly and wiring
of Surface Mount Devices (SMD's) with conventional components.
All circuit boards contain popular Surface Mount Device
(SMD) footprints with fan-outs to easy-to-wire solder
pads.
The single height, double sided boards repeat the SMT
pattern on both sides. The colander ground plane covers
the remaining component side copper pad or strip sections
- Single height, single sided and double sided PCBs
or PWBs
- Combination of SMT and either Oktapad or
Stripboard format
- Popular Surface Mount Device (SMD) footprints
- Facilitates wiring of SMD and conventional devices
- SMD leads fanned out to easy-to-wire solder pads
- Provision for future piggyback boards
