Wiring Pencil

Roadrunner® Wiring Pencils or Wiring Pens are versatile utility wiring tools, suitable for use by anyone at any level in electronics. They are the key to creativity and flexibility in circuit construction, PCB or PWB track repair, rework and modification.

The wiring pencil or wiring pen is not only used as a prototype wiring tool but is also used as a PCB track repair, rework and modification wiring tool.

This unique prototype wiring tool is available as either the 'standard' wiring pencil/wiring pen or as the wiring pencil/wiring pen with brake. The brake allows finger operated tension control. Both models are pre-loaded with bobbins or spools of wire, either Tinned Copper Wire (TCW) or Solderable Enamel Wire, dependant on the primary application.

The wiring pencil or wiring pen wiring tool can be used:

  • At entry level electronics for schools, colleges and hobbyists, with Tinned Copper Wire (TCW) for discrete component circuits
  • By advanced students, hobbyists, technicians and engineers, with Solderable Enamel Wire for constructing discrete, logic, microprocessor and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) circuits
  • By end of line production or field service people enhancing, modifying, repairing or re working production PCBs or PWBs
  • With and without finger operated tension control. Supplied with a full ready to use bobbin or wire spool of either tinned copper wire (TCW) or solderable enamel (QSE)
